What restroom does a wedding need for my guest count?

A wedding of up to about 100 guests needs 2 deluxe flushing units or 1 VIP restroom plus 1 deluxe unit. A 100–125 guest wedding fits a 2-stall restroom trailer. From 150 guests, choose a 3-stall trailer or two trailers. Add one wheelchair-accessible unit when older guests attend.

Our wedding planning method: guests × hours ÷ 200, plus 1 unit for every 4 when alcohol is served.
Guests (5-hour reception with bar)Budget setupUpscale setup
501 deluxe unit + 1 standard1 VIP restroom
1002 deluxe units + 1 hand wash station1 two-stall trailer
1503 deluxe units + 1 standard1 three-stall trailer
2004 deluxe units + 2 standard2 two-stall trailers or 1 three-stall + 1 VIP

Worked example: 150 guests, 5 hours, open bar

150 × 5 ÷ 200 = 3.75, so 4 units. Alcohol adds 1, so 5. A 3-stall trailer counts as about 3 units plus faster flow, so pair it with 1 VIP restroom or 2 deluxe units.

Do Aiken wedding venues provide restrooms?

Many Aiken barns, farms and garden venues have one or two indoor restrooms, which is not enough for 100 or more guests. Private land and backyard weddings have none. Ask your venue how many restrooms guests may use and whether outside units are allowed, then rent the difference.

Ask the venue for a site map with power outlets and the truck entrance. Send it to us, and we will mark the restroom spot before the walk-through.

Where should wedding restrooms go?

Wedding restrooms should sit within 150 feet of the reception, on level ground, with a lit path that is safe in heels. A restroom trailer also needs a 20-amp outlet within 100 feet. Keep restrooms out of the photo backdrop, downwind of the dinner tables, and away from the bar line.

  • Line the path with string lights or lanterns.
  • Put a small mirror sign and hand lotion basket in each unit for a finished look.
  • Ask the photographer which angles to keep clear.

Weddings questions

These {'weddings'} answers are short on purpose: the answer first, then any condition that changes it. They cover the details renters usually check before paying. Still unsure about your own site or dates? Call (803) 343-9386 and get a straight answer from the Aiken office.

How much does a wedding restroom trailer cost?

A 2-stall restroom trailer starts at $1,195 for a weekend wedding in the Aiken area. Deluxe flushing units start at $245 each. Delivery, setup and pickup are included.

How far ahead should I book wedding restrooms?

Book restroom trailers 4 to 8 weeks ahead for spring and fall weekends, and earlier for Masters week in April. Deluxe units can usually be booked 2 to 3 weeks out.

Can the restrooms stay for the rehearsal dinner?

Yes. The unit is delivered the day before, so it is ready for a rehearsal dinner on site. Tell us if you need it set by a certain hour.

Do I need an attendant?

Not for a 4–6 hour reception under 150 guests. For all-day events or larger weddings, an attendant check keeps paper and soap stocked.

Can I get a quote to share with my fiancé or planner?

Yes. We email or text an itemized quote and hold it for 7 days while you decide.

What if it rains on the wedding day?

Units still work in rain. Lay a mat or plywood in front of trailer steps, and keep a covered path if you can. Tell us about soft ground, and we will place units on the firmest spot.
