How many porta potties do you need?

The 30-second method we use on the phone.

Guests × hours ÷ 200

One standard unit handles about 200 uses. 100 guests for 5 hours = 500 uses = 3 units.

Serving alcohol? Add 1 per 4

If the math says 4 units, a bar makes it 5. Serving food? Add 1 hand washing station per 3 toilets.

Public event? Add accessible

At least 5% of units in each cluster, minimum 1, should be wheelchair-accessible (2010 ADA Standards §213.2).

Jobsite? Follow OSHA

20 or fewer workers = 1 toilet. Then 1 seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers (29 CFR 1926.51).
